Design Inspiration

The Aria print was inspired by the vibrant energy of Morocco - by its bold geometric motifs, the unique animals such as peacocks and caracals, and the rich, sun-drenched colour palette found in its landscapes and markets.

This design brings a sense of warmth, wanderlust, and cultural charm by blending traditional patterns with playful details.

The Artist's Story

The Aria print came together through a deep dive into the vibrant world of Moroccan design. I was initially inspired by the energy and warmth of Morocco - its rich colour palettes, the geometry of traditional tiles, and animals, which feel both elegant and a little unexpected.

From there, I started sketching, combining bold motifs with playful, organic details to create something that felt both culturally rich and light-hearted enough for a bedroom setting.

The most enjoyable part of the process was bringing the animals to life within the pattern. Finding the right balance between stylisation and recognisability was a creative challenge I really enjoyed - it gave the print a personality that feels unique and also whimsical.

My favourite part of the design is how the traditional and the playful elements come together. The geometric motifs ground the print into something timeless, while the other elements, animals and colours create a fresh and modern energy.

• Front fabric: 275TC Dobby Sateen, Microcheck 100% Cotton
• Reverse fabric: 375TC 100% Cotton Sateen
• Finish: 2cm Flange
• Closure: Button closure along the bottom edge
  
• Artwork: Original hand-painted design, created and designed in Australia

Care Instructions

• Wash separately before use
• Do not bleach, soak, wring or dry clean 
• Machine or hand wash (40°C)
• May be tumbled dried on a warm setting Iron using cotton setting if desired
